Ghost Candle Jars

With Halloween right around the corner, my favorite holiday for multiple reasons (mostly because it's my birthday!) I thought I would show you all how to make these cute Ghost Candle Jars.

I made these two a few years ago and every year they get brought back out and placed on my porch, hence the slight yellowing however I feel it adds to their character.

I picked up a couple jars at my local Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off along with some oversized googly eyes. Then popped across the mall to Target to search their healthcare section for a self-adherent wrap bandage.

With my supplies in hand, I took over our dinning room table (I now thank goodness for my craft room) and removed the lids and rings from both jars. I used my glue gun to attach the start of my wrap to the jar. I started from the bottom and worked my way up to the top. The great thing about the wrap is the fact that it sticks to itself. I didn't need to continue to add glue to my creation until I finished wrapping the entire jar. Once my wrap was secured, I did re screw the ring back on the top which helped hold the wrap in place.

Trusty glue gun in hand, I added the over sized eyes onto the front of my jar and dropped a large candle from Ikea inside. BAM! Perfect for sitting next to the pumpkins on our porch.
